The Present Perfect Tense adalah Kalimat yang digunakan dalam Bahasa Inggris ketika kita mengungkapkan memberi atau meminta informasi terkait keadaan /tindakan / kegiatan kejadian yang sudah/telah dilakukan / terjadi diwaktu lampau dikaitkan dengan keadaan sekarang tanpa menyebutkan waktu terjadinya secara spesifik, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya( KD 3.6 ). Sedangkan KD 4.6 adalah menyusun teks interaksi transaksional lisan dan tulis sangat pendek dan sederhana yang melibatkan tindakan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait dengan keadaan / tindakan/ kegiatan/ kejadian yang sudah / telah dilakukan / terjadi di waktu lampau dikaitkan dengan keadaan sekarang tanpa menyebutkan waktu terjadinya secara spesifik, dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai konteks.

The Present Perfect Tense refers to an action or state that either occurred at an indefinite time in the past ( e.g; we have talked before) or began in the past and continued to the present.

For examples :

  • They have worked here for a long time ( Mereka telah bekerja lama )
  • He hasn't worked here for a long time. ( Dia sudah tidak bekerja untuk waktu yang lama )
  • Has he worked for a long time? (Sudahkah dia bekerja untuk waktu yang lama?)
  • Where has he gone? ( Kemana dia telah pergi?)

The Signal words of Present Perfect: Kata-kata yang menandai kalimat Present Perfect Tense )

  • Already (sudah)
  • Ever ( pernah )
  • Just (Baru saja )
  • Never ( tidak pernah )
  • Not yet ( belum )
  • So far ( Sejauh Ini )
  • Till now ( sampai sekarang )
  • Up to now ( Sampai sekarang )
  • Since ( Sejak )
  • For ( Selama )

For examples:

  • Bumagda has taught English since 1987
  • They have learnt English for five years
  • Since digunakan dengan waktu tertentu , sedangkan For digunakan dengan jumlah waktu tertentu
  • Now click on this VIDEO
  • Watched it
  • Write the sentences using The present Perfect Tense ( 10).
  • Get the meaning of those sentences
  • Then Make a dialogue using the Present Perfect Tense.
  • Make a Conclusion and How do you feel after learning this topic as reflection.
  • Send all of them to GCR using the answer sheet.

B. I feel (happy, sad, confused ) to learn The Present Perfect Tense. I (can, cannot )understand the sentences. It is ( easy/hard to make them ) and I (will/won't) use them in real life.
