The original Far Cry 6 base game is needed to play this expansion.
Overview
After exploring a strange meteorite impact site, legendary guerrilla Dani Rojas is ripped from Earth and trapped in a supernatural prison – a distorted version of Yara. To escape, Dani must make their way through a gauntlet of fractured trials to collect the five broken shards needed to repair the vessel.
Storm a fractured fortress floating in the sky, swim through an underwater Esperanza filled with deadly traps, scramble down an active volcano, fend off the darkness in a blackout cave, and much more. With some calling for stealth and navigation while others require speed and force, no two Rifts are alike.
Forge an unlikely friendship with Fai, your condescending but strangely endearing guide, as you take on enemies including Shardfaces, the color-coded crystalline guardians of the Rifts. To defeat them, you'll use Chromatic Combat, switching between red and blue ammo on the fly.
With every shard you collect, you get powerful gear, weapon upgrades, and tools to help you forge custom shortcuts throughout the map. Upon completion of the expansion, you'll return to Yara with the most powerful gear in Far Cry® 6 – Fai gear.

Review
Being a big fan of Far Cry 6 any excuse to go back to Yara is alright for me, but what about a bit of a different Yara? a distorted version of Yara well this is what Lost Between Worlds is a step into an alternatate reality and one that has distorted the reality we once knew.
So the main story of this DLC is Dani is taken from Earth when the alien Fai crash lands on Earth causing different realm portals to open, different shards are scattered around these different realms and it's down to Dani (you) to retrieve them all and repair the realm we call Earth.
The actual DLC is a bit of a step away from the main base game and going a bit more sci-fi as apposed the more realistic game. As a big fan of the base game I found the concept a little different to get used to at first but the more I played it the more I got into the game the overall concept took a while to get used to but after a while I found the unique environments pretty cool. The enemies are a bit more tricky to take down as you have blue and red enemies to take down but you need to change your weapon to either red or blue also as the corresponding colour will only take down enemies of that colour which personally I found this mechanic really good and the uniqueness of it really worked. For me the only bad part is if you die there's no checkpoint so you are taken right back to the beginning which can be frustrating especially if you die when you are quite deep into the level (yes that happened to me a few times).
As an expansion I felt there definitely was enough here to keep you entertained and bring you back into the hectic world of Far Cry.
Graphics and Sound
I won't touch on the graphics and sound in any depth as if you've played the base game then you'll know the standard of both, the graphics still have the cinematic feel and the sounds are good with plenty of comedic moments mixed in.
Summary
Time now then to put my thoughts into a summary, overall I enjoyed the expansion although at first I wasn't really sure of the whole sci-fi aspect of it but it does kind of work to be fair. Can get frustrating at times but on the whole the gameplay is good so really would say a good addition to the already expansive game.
Verdict-Out of 5
Good
I give Lost Between Worlds DLC a good score of 4 a good overall expansion that is worth the purchase, can get slightly frustrating but well worth the addition to the game.
