The first one, the Redmi A1 was released with a Helio A22 chip which is a very old chipset that really needs to go. Now, the company has announced the second iteration, although with far less noise. The design barely changed from its predecessor however it carries a newer MediaTek Helio G36 chipset this time. POCO C51 on Flipkart In India, the phone is rebadged as the POCO C51 sporting the same design. The only difference is that the Redmi logo has been replaced with the POCO logo at the back. The specs are basic, as you could expect from a phone like it. It has a 6.52" HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen, a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with 4GB (+3GB virtual) RAM and 64GB storage, an 8MP primary camera (and a VGA complementary), a 5MP selfie camera housed on the waterdrop notch, a 5000mAh battery charged via a 10W MicroUSB port, a 3.5mm jack, a MicroSD Card Slot, Android 12 Go Support, and 4G LTE connectivity. The only difference between the Redmi A2 and A2 Plus is that the latter has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Truly a plus feature. As expected, all "three" devices run Android 13 Go Edition. Technology has truly got more demanding when these days, 4GB RAM is no longer enough for any type of device, smartphones included. The POCO C51 is most likely India-exclusive and is available via Flipkart for INR 7,799 (~Php 5.2K) and is available in Power Black and Royal Blue. Meanwhile, the global Redmi A2 and A2 Plus are available in Light Blue, Light Green, and Black and apparently, no prices are announced. These aren't yet in the Philippines.
