More fun to Sunday night viewing habits with 'Bubble Gang' beginning July 9

"Bubble Gang," GMA Network's award-winning and longest-running Kapuso gag show, further treats viewers to fresher, bigger, and more exciting entertainment as it moves to a new time slot - airing every Sunday at 6pm beginning July 9.
For over 27 years, "Bubble Gang" has entertained the public with its side-splitting comedy skits and sketches. Its relentless dedication to delivering fresh materials, creating laughter-filled moments, and honing a new generation of comedians has enabled it to become a force to reckon with in Philippine television.
The gang is top-billed by its original member and the genius behind some of the program's most iconic characters and sketches, Michael V. More fondly called, Bitoy, Michael V. said it is more challenging for them moving to a new and earlier time slot, and part of this is for them to be engaged in a wholesome format. Hoping that it won't be that difficult for them to do so, as they will be challenged with the fact that they will be more conscious of the content of the show, which by the way will be taped with a live audience.
Bitoy added that with the new characters (in place of those taken out) and "bagong pakulo" for the show (which is now over 27 years old), he himself is excited. The creative team has to be conscious of what's happening right now, "kasi hindi lang pagpapatawa ang comedy." As they aim to show something original, they still have to inspire audiences as they become symbiotic with social media.
Joining Bitoy in the new "Bubble Gang" are eight multi-talented cast members, each bringing their unique brand of comedy to the show: Paolo Contis, Chariz Solomon, Betong Sumaya, Kokoy De Santos, Edgar Allan Guzman, Buboy Villar, Ana Barro, and Chesca Fausto.
Viewers should also look forward to two special guests joining the gang every Sunday as well as exciting cameos from various celebrities. In the July 9 episode, the program's guests are popular vloggers Mika Salamanca and Jelai Andres who surprised everyone with their comedic skills.
Aside from its new time slot, "Bubble Gang" elevates its comedic prowess and captivates an even wider audience with up-to-date content performed on stage before a live audience. With its new segments aimed to engage in real-time both the studio and TV viewers, expect more lively skits and organic performances from the gang. They will also feature short taped materials such as spoofs, sketches, parodies, and redub.
For its initial offering, expect to see parodies of popular Tiktok personalities, primetime hit "Bortas Five," funny redub segments of GMA-7's hit shows "Royal Blood" and "Abot Kamay Na Pangarap," "Super Mamshie, "a superhero exclusive to LGBTQIA+ and a new rap version of the show's popular theme song written and performed by Michael V.
This exciting transition propels the show to new heights, making it bigger than ever before, as it continues to deliver unforgettable characters and uproarious laughter that resonates with viewers week after week.
"Bubble Gang" is made possible under the supervision of GMA SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable; VP for Business Development Department II Janine Piad-Nacar; Consultant for Business Development Department II Bang Arespacochaga; Senior Program Manager Cecille R. De Guzman; and Executive Producer Maricar Teodoro.
The creative team behind this successful gag show comprises Creative Director Ceasar Cosme; Headwriter Chito Francisco; Senior Writer Ramon Roco; and Writers Mcoy Fundales, Mike Unson, Mark Sakay, and Ardee Delola.
"Bubble Gang" is under the helm of directors Frasco Mortiz and Mark David. It airs Sundays at 6p.m. on GMA-7 while Pinoys abroad can also catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV.
