Review
I'm a big fan of simulator games and up there at the top of the list for me is the Bus Simulator series giving you the most realistic bus driving experience out there. With the recent school expansion giving you the taste of the hectic school runs in the iconic yellow American buses it gave even more depth to the game and now the developers have gone even further with the release of the new Tram Extension bringing you into the world of inner city tram driving.

I've always enjoyed the train simulators as a child I always wanted to be a train driver but can honestly say I've never been in a tram or even driven one (virtually that is) Tram Extension puts you right in the driving seat of a realistic tram through the tram network of tram lines throughout Angel City. I found the Bus Simulator was a more hectic game with alot to think about and carry out but I found driving the tram quite relaxing and relatively straightforward to pick up. I was interested to see how integrated trams are into the normal street traffic which makes you a bit more alert as the vehicles on the street weave in front of you at times.
The overall business operation of the extension is much similar to the main base game as you try to operate a profitable travel business.
Graphics and Sound
The realism in terms of graphics is again up there at the highest level, the detail of the trams is unbelievable and obviously a labour of love in creating this realistic game. The NPC's are still a little stiff and dated but again they aren't a big enough part of the game to make any major difference. The levels of customisation are vast and allow you to create your own personal branding that you can apply to your trams.
The soundtrack is the same as the base game and gives that nice chilled out vibe to the game. The in game sound effects give the game that realistic feel to the overall game adding authenticity.
Summary
Time now then to put my thoughts into a summary, overall I felt that the Tram Extension is a great addition to the Bus Simulator 21 game giving a new dimension to the overall game. The Tram Extension will allow the developers to take the series in maybe a new direction with additional tram related add ons created and who knows maybe different vehicles to simulate.
Verdict-Out of 5 ⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
EXCELLENT
I give Tram Extension an excellent score of 5 ⭐ a great addition to a game that is already one of the best simulators out there. Bus Simulator fans will love exploring the new Tram routes.
