There is a radio show on CBC here in Canada that occasionally does a feature called SYNTH: Songs You Need To Hear.
Now, I can't say to someone, "You'll like this song" (or book for that matter) because I can't presume that others will share my taste in music (or books), so it is safer to say, "You might like this" and if they don't like it, so be it.
Maybe you will find a new favorite.

I didn't plan to post this morning, but after hearing the news of the passing of Laura Lynch, I decided to share a few songs from the early days of The Dixie Chicks.
I became familiar with them (as most people did) in 1998 after their album, Wide Open Spaces, exploded onto the charts and I apparently missed some very good songs from their first few albums.
From CNN.com: Lynch was involved in a car crash Friday night in Hudspeth County, Texas, according to CNN affiliate KDBC, citing a police report. Another vehicle drove into Lynch's lane, striking her vehicle head-on, KDBC reported. The crash took place near the town of Cornudas, approximately 60 miles east of El Paso.
Strayer and Maguire founded the Dixie Chicks in 1989 with Lynch and Robin Lynn Macy. In 1992, Macy left the band, and Maines later replaced Lynch as lead vocalist.
