The Honor 90 GT looks beautiful and "gamey" don't you think? Honor is also joining the many brands including a GT lineup. First it was Realme, then it was POCO, then Infinix, and now Honor! Anymore joiners? (Huawei's Watch GTs don't count!).
The Honor 90 lineup is designed for the middleman luxury, featuring an attractively rich design and great cameras at the helm, but the Honor 90 GT is made for performance users in mind. Seen especially with its more aggressive design and the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 it's highlighting. It also highlights how it has 24GB RAM and 1TB ROM total, for its highest-end trim.
Among other specs, the Honor 90 GT features a 6.7" 1.2K AMOLED (2662x1200px) with 120Hz refresh rate and the company's signature 3,840Hz PWM dimming first seen with the Honor 90 (and we got the review to prove how much it's worth!). This display comes injected with the C1 display chip that Honor made themselves. According to their advertisements, this chip allows the phone to better pick up Radio Frequency (RF) signals which allows cellular communication by 35%.
The phone also features a large 2,164mm2 cavity area for its icy vapour chamber, and 5,288mm2 coverage for its soaking area which allows for smooth airflow and thermal cooling.
There are three cameras in total. There are two at the back consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera with OIS and a 12MP Ultrawide with 112-degrees field of view. The third one, the selfie camera, has a resolution of 16MP. The phone is less focused on its cameras and more about how it can take on the hard games like Yuzu, Minecraft, and Genshin Impact.
The phone has a standard 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging (wired). Like the Honor 90, the Honor 90 GT lacks wireless charging but that's a given, considering its class. The phone runs MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. The usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 are present, as well as NFC, 5G, and an optical fingerprint reader.
It debuted in China starting with a price of CNY 2,599 (12/256) (~PHP 20.2K) and the 24/1TB variant is priced at CNY 3,699 (~PHP 28.7K). It comes in Blue, Black, and Gold colorways.
As with the title suggests, no, this phone will not be launching globally so we're expecting little to none for the Philippines.
