Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, ito ay para mapalakas pa ang kalidad ng health care sa bansa. "Ang palagi pong sinasabi ng ating mahal na Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., no Filipino should be deprived of quality health care. That's why we continuously give high regard to our health care facilities, more importantly, our specialty hospitals like NKTI," pahayag ni Pangandaman. Sinabi ni Pangandaman na gagamitin ang pondo sa konstruksyon at expansion ng OPD Building na naka-disenyo para maging one-stop-shop sa social services ng ospital, kabilang na ang diagnostic at surgical facilities. Naniniwala si Pangandaman na malaking tulong ang walong palapag na OPD building para mapalakas pa ang pagbibigay serbisyo ng NKTI na nakatutok sa treatment at prevention ng kidney at iba pang allied diseases.
