Ibinahagi ni PBA star LA Tenorio ang sumagip sa kaniya sa kalagitnaan ng pakikipaglaban sa sakit na colon cancer.
"My faith really saved me. Ako, faith in God. Pwedeng faith with your family, faith in yourself, children, or your wife, 'di ba? Doesn't matter, just have faith. To be honest, it really changed my perspective in life," saad ni LA.
"Now, I appreciate everything. Parang everything is positive for me. Ngayon, everyday I wake up na I'm not expecting anything. I'm just thankful, grateful lang ako na may araw ulit ako to spend time with my family, with my wife. I have an opportunity to play again basketball after what happened to me," tugon ng PBA star.
Dagdag pa niya: "Parang 'yong gano'n ako makipag-usap ngayon sa mga kaibigan ko, 'Kung ano nandyan, 'wag na kayo maghanap. Maging kuntento tayo.' Now, if you can do more or get more, why not? But in the end of the day, kung ano 'yong nandyan, pasalamat na lang tayo."
Matatandaang noong Setyembre 2023 ay kinumpirma ni Coach Tim Cone na cancer-free na si LA matapos ang huling session nito ng chemotherapy.
