Isa sa maituturing na music icons si Rachel Alejandro, kaya tinanong namin siya kung may hinahangaan siya sa younger generation ng mga music artists.
"Meron akong isang…it's not so new anymore, siguro from several years ago, pero pag nagtu-tour ako sa US some years ago, kinakanta ko yung Buwan na kanta ni Juan Karlos (JK) [Labajo].
"Gustung-gusto ko yun, parang may pagka-bluesy na rock, yung ganung style, bumagay sa boses ko, so kinakanta ko yun minsan and talagang yung buong audience sinasabayan, kahit yung mga kababayan natin sa America, alam na alam nila yun!
"So I guess sa mga medyo bagu-bago over the past five years na kanta, iyon yung isa sa mga paborito ko," kuwento ni Rachel.
Samantala, gagaganapin ang Awit Ng Panahon: Noon At Ngayon musical concert sa April 21, Sunday, 8pm sa New Frontier Theater, Cubao, Quezon City.
Ang iba pang kasama sa concert bukod kina Rachel at Hajji Alejandro ay sina Gino Padilla, Kris Lawrence, Nitoy Mallilin (formerly of The Boyfriends), Edwin Cando (seven-time defending champion ng Tawag ng Kampeon), at John Raymundo (eight-time defending champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan).
Mula sa Pro-Entertainment Production, ang organizer at producer ng concert ay si Spike Bermudez, ang Avolution, at Mallillins Music Production, sa direksyon ni Ferdi Aguas.
Ang iba pang artists sa concert ay sina Male Rigor (of VST and Company), Pete Gatela and Carlos Parsons (of Hagibis), Arabelle Dela Cruz (of TNT of It's Showtime and The Clash), Rachel Gabreza and Luzviminda Piedad (of TNT of It's Showtime), at si Geoff Taylor ng Pinoy Dream Academy).
