After promising to add it in, SHIFT UP has finally given Stellar Blade its long-awaited Boss Rush mode. In addition, the game's latest patch also adds a couple of new costumes.
When it originally shipped last April, Stellar Blade did not have a Boss Rush mode. However, SHIFT UP was quick to state that it was considering adding it in a future patch. Speculation that it was coming became rampat when the company teased an update on its X, formerly Twitter, account last week.
Now, the company has confirmed that the mode, which it's calling "Boss Challenge," is coming to the game.
Beyond the new mode mode, Stellar Blade is also adding three new costumes. One of these, the "Neurolink Suit" can be unlocked by beating the Boss Rush mode.
The remaining two costumes, which come from the "Kunoichi" series, can be found at Adam's safehouse in-game. (Read: How to get Stellar Blade's best ending)
Beyond that, SHIFT UP also confirmed that the patch will fix a number of issues with the game, while also adding some quality-of-life options.
Stellar Blade is already looking to be one of the PlayStation 5's best releases this year. That SHIFT UP is continuing to update it with content – free content at that – only adds to the game's "stellar" reputation.
