HoYoverse's upcoming action RPG Zenless Zone Zero now has an official release date. The developer behind the hit gacha titles Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail recently revealed that their latest game is arriving in a little over a month.
HoYoverse describes Zenless Zone Zero as an urban fantasy action RPG. The game follows the events and citizens of the city of New Eridu, "the last shelter for urban civilization." The urban setting looks to differentiate the game from HoYoverse's other titles, which are either set in fantasy (Genshin Impact) or space opera (Honkai Star Rail) settings. What should also set the game apart is its combat, with Zenless Zone Zero looking to be a more stylish, combo-based affair, reminiscent of character action games like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta.
For those whose interest has been piqued, either by the setting or the combat, Zenless Zone Zero is arriving soon. HoYoverse revealed that the game's release date is on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
The game itself will arrive on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5 and PC via its own official launcher. In addition, Zenless Zone Zero will have both crossplay and cross-platform progression.
Finally, for those who want to make sure they get on Zenless Zone Zero when its release date arrives, pre-registration for the game is now open across all platforms.
