With Solaris-3 constantly being threatened by waves of monsters and impending catastrophic events, you're going to want to have your Resonators equipped to the teeth. By following this Wuthering Waves Yinlin build guide, the lightning-powered character will provide a significant boost to your account's power level.

Wuthering Waves has no shortage of exhilarating combat that players can sink their teeth into. But no matter how much you've mastered the dodging and parrying mechanics, you won't get very far if your attacks hit like wet noodles.

Yinlin is an Electro-type Resonator that wields a Rectifier in battle. Adding her to your roster can help you clear some of the more difficult content in Wuthering Waves like Holograms or the Tower of Adversity, so let's go ahead and go over how to build her.

Wuthering Waves Yinlin Abilities

Yinlin has a ton of abilities in her kit that allow her to dish out a ton of Electro damage. Here's a closer look at how they work.

Zapstring's Dance (Basic Attack) – A series of up to four attacks. Heavy Attack consumes Stamina to take control over Zapstring.
Magnetic Roar (Resonance Skill) – Zapstring deals Electro damage to a target while Yinlin enters Execution Mode. While in Execution Mode, Yinlin's Basic Attacks and Dodge Counters will trigger Electromagnetic Blasts that deal additional Electro damage to all enemies with Sinner's Mark.
Lightning Execution (Resonance Skill) – Use Resonance Skill after activating Magnetic Roar to deal Electro damage to the target.
Thundering Wrath (Resonance Liberation) – Command Zapstring to unleash a devastating lightning attack that deals massive Electro DMG in a large area.
Judgment (Forte) – Using Yinlin's Basic Attacks, Resonance Skills, and Resonance Liberation will generate Judgment Points.
Sinner's Mark (Forte) – Yinlin's Basic Attack, Resonance Liberation, and Intro Skill will apply Sinner's Mark to targets.
Chameleon Cipher (Forte) – At 100 Judgment Points, Yinlin's Heavy Attack becomes Chameleon Cipher. Sinner's Mark will be replaced by Punishment Mark if hit by Chameleon Cipher. This skill will consume all Judgment Points.
Punishment Mark (Forte) – Enemies with Punishment Mark will trigger Judgment Strike when hit. Judgment Strike deals Electro DMG to all other enemies with Punishment Mark.
Raging Storm (Intro Skill) – Command Zapstring to deal Electro DMG to a large area.
Strategist (Outro Skill) – Incoming character will gain 20% Electro DMG Deepen and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Deepen for 14 seconds.
Pain Immersion (Passive) – Yinlin's Crit Rate is increased by 15% for 5 seconds after using Magnetic Roar.
Deadly Focus (Passive) – Damage from Lightning Execution is increased by 10% when attacking enemies with Sinner's Mark. This will also increase Yinlin's ATK by 10% for 4 seconds.

The stat bonuses on Yinlin's Forte upgrade her Attack and Crit Rate. The materials needed to upgrade these skills are the Helix items from Forgery Challenge: Misty Forest and the Feather items from Statue of the Crownless: Heart.

Best Yinlin Weapons

As a Rectifier wielder, Yinlin has a handful of options to increase her damage output and support capabilities. Here's what you can put on her.

Stringmaster

This is Yinlin's signature weapon, so it will sync up perfectly with her kit. It has flat Attack and Crit Rate for its main stats, which are both staples for raising the damage of any Resonator.

With Stringmaster equipped, the wearer will gain a 12% increase in Attribute DMG. After using Resonance Skill, Attack will be increased by 12% for 5 seconds. This effect can stack up to two times. When the Resonator equipped with Stringmaster is not on the field, their Attack will be increased by another 12%.

Cosmic Ripples

Another 5-star weapon, Cosmic Ripples can be obtained from the standard banner. You can choose it as your guaranteed 5-star weapon on one of the beginner banners or from the 5-star weapon selector after reaching Union Level 45.

With this weapon equipped, its wielder will gain a 12.8% boost to Energy Regen. Additionally, attacking with your Basic Attack will increase Basic Attack DMG by 3.2% for 5 seconds. This can stack up to five times.

Augment

This 4-star Rectifier will increase the wearer's ATK by 15% after using their Resonance Liberation. This effect lasts for 15 seconds.

You can get this weapon by purchasing the Wuthering Waves battle pass and reaching level 30 on it.

Jinzhou Keeper

Another solid 4-star weapon since it helps with both Yinlin's offense and survivability by raising the user's ATK by 8% and HP by 10% after triggering Intro Skill. This effect lasts for 15 seconds.

Best Yinlin Echoes

Yinlin is a pretty versatile character and having her attributed with the Electro element gives her a few options for her Echo sets. Here are the top Echoes to farm for the 5-star Resonator.

Echo Sets

Void Thunder – Increases Electro DMG.

Moonlit Clouds – Increases Energy Regen and ATK of next Resonator after using Outro Skill.

Lingering Tunes – Increase ATK and Outro Skill DMG.

The Void Thunder set works best on a Yinlin that's built as a main DPS while Moonlit Clouds is a suitable option if you want her in a more supportive role. If you're missing Echoes with decent substats on any of these sets, you can use pieces from the Lingering Tunes set to fill the gaps.

Main Echoes

Tempest Mephis (Void Thunder) – Transform into Tempest Mephis to deal Electro DMG. Increase the character's Electro DMG and Heavy Attack DMG.
Thundering Mephis (Void Thunder) – Transform into Thundering Mephis to deal Electro DMG. Increase the character's Electro DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG.
Impermanence Heron (Moonlit Clouds) – Transform into Impermanence Heron to deal Havoc DMG. Long press to deal continuous Havoc DMG. Restore current character's Resonance Energy upon hit and increase the damage dealt by the next Resonator.

For the main stats on these Echoes, you're going to want Crit Rate or Crit Damage depending on what you need more of. When rolling for substats, you should look out for more Crit and Energy Regen.

Yinlin Resonance Chain

Unlocking Sequences in a character's Resonance Chain requires you to pull duplicates of them. They provide significant enhancements for the Resonator but aren't necessary to clear content.

Morality's Crossroads (Sequence 1) – Magnetic Roar and Lightning Execution deals 70% more damage.
Ensnarled by Rapport (Sequence 2) – Electromagnetic Blast will generate five additional Judgment points and five Energy on hit.
Unyielding Verdict (Sequence 3) – Judgment Strike damage is increased by 55%.
Steadfast Conviction (Sequence 4) – Hitting enemies with Judgment Strike will increase the Attack of the entire party by 20% for 12 seconds.
Resounding Will (Sequence 5) – Thundering Wrath will deal 100% more damage to targets with Sinner's Mark or Punishment Mark.
Pursuit of Justice (Sequence 6) – Yinlin's Basic Attacks will trigger Furious Thunder in the first 30 seconds after using Thundering Wrath. Furious Thunder deals heavy Electro DMG and is counted as Resonance Skill DMG.

Yinlin Best Teammates and Synergy

You can pick and choose from several different Resonators when it comes to forming a squad in Wuthering Waves. But just like with every teambuilding activity, some will have better synergy with others.

Here are some of the top choices for Yinlin's teammates.

Sanhua

A 4-star Resonator that's easily obtainable and able to provide some great buffs for Yinlin. When using her Outro Skill, the incoming character will receive Basic Attack Deepen for 14 seconds.

While Sanhua's personal damage output won't be able to keep up with the top 5-star Resonators, she's extremely efficient at generating Concerto and Resonance Energy. This allows her to pop in and out of combat smoothly to provide a steady stream of buffs to your main DPS.

Calcharo

When placed on the same squad as Calcharo, Yinlin will be relegated to more of a Sub-DPS/Support role. Yinlin's Outro Skill, Strategist, provides Electro DMG Deepen and Resonance Liberation Deepen, two things that the silver-haired mercenary can take advantage of.

Calcharo is already capable of producing great numbers with his attacks but factoring in Yinlin's buffs can result in him dealing some monstrous damage.

Verina

You're always going to want a healer on your team and Verina is always going to be a viable choice to take up that spot. Aside from keeping your party alive, Verina can buff the party and contribute to the squad's damage output.

Verina herself can deal some decent damage, especially for a healer, so she works well on pretty much any team you put her on.
