40th PMPC Star Awards for Movies Celebrates Excellence in Film
The PMPC Star Awards for Movies celebrated its 40th anniversary by honoring outstanding talents with the prestigious Dekada Awards. These awards recognize individuals with an impressive track record of Acting Awards over the past 40 years. Recipients included Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, Piolo Pascual, and Vilma Santos, who were honored based on their extensive achievements (Top 2 for actors and Top 2 for actresses).
Showbiz power couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera were crowned the Takilya King and Queen for their record-breaking success in the movie "Rewind."
Alden Richards and Julia Montes, the stars of "Five Breakups And A Romance," won the Movie Loveteam of the Year award.
The PMPC introduced the Ethel Ramos Dean's Lister Award, recognizing former PMPC President Ronald Constantino for his significant contributions to showbiz writing, following in the footsteps of the legendary Manay Ethel.
The PMPC Lifetime Achievement Awards were bestowed upon two industry icons: veteran actress Liza Lorena (Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award) and top movie producer Vic del Rosario Jr. (Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award).
PMPC, the pioneering entertainment group across all media platforms, is currently led by President Rodel Ocampo Fernardo. Airtime Marketing, under the guidance of Ms. Tess Celestino-Howard, plays a crucial role in promoting Filipino talent.
