The Muhlach Family Stars in "Da Pers Family" on TV5
Aga Muhlach and his wife Charlene Gonzalez are regarded as "Philippine showbiz royalty" due to their remarkable talent and popularity.
Their upcoming show, "Da Pers Family," is anticipated to significantly boost their fanbase. The series premieres on July 21 at 7:15 PM on TV5, with catch-up airings on Sari-Sari Channel every Monday at 7 PM.
In "Da Pers Family," the Muhlachs—Aga, Charlene, and their twins Andres and Atasha—embark on their first-ever series together as a household. The show tells the story of the Percival family and their struggling business, The Bake Haus of You. Conflict arises when Aga's character's former best friend, played by Roderick Paulate, tries to drive them out of business. This challenge brings the Percival family closer as they fight to save their bakery.
"Da Pers Family" promises a blend of humor and heartfelt moments, showcasing the collective star power of the Muhlach family.
The show marks Aga's and Charlene's much-anticipated reunion with their "Oki Doki Dok" co-stars Bayani Agbayani and Roderick Paulate, under the direction of Danni Caparas.The cast also includes Ces Quesada, Heart Ryan, Chad Kinis, Kadebon Colim, and Sam Coloso.
Roderick said he was proud and happy that it was Aga himself who called him about the project. How could I say no, he added. Heart said it's her first time to be working with the icons and pillars of Philippine entertainment industry and expressed pride and gratitude for this opportunity.
It's also the first time that Andres and Atasha are working together with their parents with whom they've only done commercials in the past.
It's also Aga's first time to be working again after a long while - "at kasama pa the four of us in the family!" he expressed with pride and joy. He also thanked all the cast members for accepting to work on this project.
About his kids, Aga said he let them do their own thing, "unless they ask for my help. As for me, I'm still learning myself."
Charlene said "we allow them to grow, and we allow them to showcase their respective talents and creativity." Both Aga and Charlene said they're happy to be working with them "but di na kami nakikialam sa kanila. Pumasok sila sa mundo namin so alam naman ang pinagdadaanan nila ngayon. We wish them well."
Both parents are disciplinarians, but more so with Charlene.
Both Andres and Atasha said they are not intimidated by their parents' stature and status. They respect and are very proud of their parents' talents and acting abilities.
