Overview
Justice is served
As criminal gangs rampage unchecked across London, a secretive elite squad begins a campaign of action, delivering the guilty to the cops – along with all the evidence they need for a conviction.
Lines are drawn
But when innocent people are shot after the vigilante crew blunders into a major police operation – Detective Rick Turner among the unintended victims – it's clear they must be stopped. Rick's brother Sam might be able to help, but he's a fugitive from the law himself, on nobody's side but his own.
In too deep
As Sam and Rick are drawn into a vast criminal web, allegiances are tested to the limit. mistrusted by his bosses, and targeted by a deadly enemy out for revenge, Rick must decide where his true loyalties lie.

Review
As dramatic thrillers go they don't get more dramatic than this, as soon as you open the book you just get an uneasy feeling as you know something bad is around the corner.
Blood Debt is inquisitively dark thriller that emotionally charged thrill ride that keeps you glued to the pages throughout, with a gripping story and furious writing the book is as close to the perfect thriller as you will get.
This is the second of the DS Rick Turner series and although I haven't read the first book I still felt connected to the storyline although I feel that reading the first book would have given me a better insight into the character backgrounds - this is something that will be resolved soon as I intend on getting a hold of a copy of book one pronto.
DS Rick Turner has a whole host of problems on his plate as a vigilante gang rip through the streets offering out their own form of justice which in itself causes problems but when innocent people get caught in the crossfire it becomes a situation that has to be stopped asap, time to get tough.
This is another new author for me as I get deeper into my book review journey and MK Murphy is definitely up there with my favourites, the style of writing in this book is high voltage and really packs a punch, although the pace of the book starts off slow it does rapidly pick up and from that point you are firmly routed to your seat.
Summary
Time now then to put my thoughts into a summary, a riveting read that doesn't let up throughout DS Turner is a gritty hardened character that ignites the story. I love gritty British gang dramas and films and this book definitely gives off those vibes. The book definitely has the strength in characters to carry on and evolve the series by also expanding the world that has been written. Definitely recommend if you are into gritty thrillers.
Verdict-Out of 5 ⭐
