Review
This is another trip into the YA section of books for me and another that I found surprisingly engrossing, slowly but surely my mind is beginning to sway about YA being just for kids as there are a vast erray of books out there that really capture the imagination but just so happen to be geared towards a younger audience.
The book took me a little by surprise at the beginning but in a good way as the story seemed alot more laid back than what I first thought it would be and to be honest I found the pace quite enjoyable, the character of Chris Halley as a bit of a tearaway teenager (we've all been one at some point) that is working alongside his father in the business running a trading ship ferrying across the Martian trading routes always looking for that big break that will allow them to live a bit more of a normal life. But life doesn't deal the cards you want and after tragedy strikes and takes away his father Chris is left on his own to manage the business and his own life whilst finding the justice for his father.
I liked how the story was written in a style that I would call a bit of a web where the story is told from different angles but comes together in a natural way, the characters feel relatable and although the story is based on Mars it feels very real life. This is the first time I have come across Mike Mollman's work and I will say I was impressed with his style it started off at a slow pace but the story evolved naturally which gave me a good overall reading experience.

Note on The Author
Mike Mollman is a charming individual graced with good looks, undeniable charisma and humility. These descriptions come straight from his keyboard, so they must be treated as unimpeachable facts. Mike lives in the Richmond, Virginia area. When he's not self-aggrandizing, he likes to spend time with his two dogs and the many voices in his head.
