Kokoy de Santos, from "Boy Kabado" to "Ultimate Runner"
Kokoy de Santos, once known as "Boy Kabado," has conquered his fears and emerged victorious as the "Ultimate Runner" in the second season of GMA Network's hit reality game show, "Running Man Philippines."
The season was filled with exhilarating games, challenging missions, and appearances by beloved superstars. In the end, Kokoy outpaced fellow runners Mikael Daez, Glaiza De Castro, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, Angel Guardian, and Miguel Tanfelix. The final weekend was made even more special with the return of Season 1 runner Ruru Madrid.
Kokoy's journey was far from easy, with each contestant demonstrating fierce competitiveness and strategic gameplay. One particularly daunting mission required Kokoy to confront his fear of heights by rappelling down an 11-meter lookout tower. Surprisingly, he finished in second place, right behind Ruru.
This experience fueled Kokoy's determination to win the season's ultimate challenge: the iconic "Name Tag Race." Kokoy, Glaiza, Ruru, Lexi, and Miguel were each assigned multiple name tags based on their previous rankings.
After an intense display of energy and strategy, the "Name Tag Race" came down to Kokoy and Buboy. Both managed to rip off each other's tags, but Kokoy had one remaining, securing his title as the season's ultimate runner.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kokoy expressed his gratitude to his supporters and fellow runners, acknowledging their belief in him and their unwavering encouragement. He dedicated his victory to his family, friends, and fans, as well as to the entire "Running Man Philippines" team.
Fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising Kokoy's determination and impressive performance. Viewers also expressed their hope for a third season, emphasizing the show's positive impact and ability to bring joy to its audience.
