Maayong adlaw.
Magpatabang unta ko sa imo kabahin aning nasinati sa akong manghod nga babaye.

Neri: Postscript to Mother's Day
May 11, 2021
This time around, I'm talking to daughters (last week I interviewed mothers) as a postscript to Mother's Day. I asked the daughters of some friends on what they appreciate most in Mom and/or to share lessons in life that she has imparted to them.
Tricia Zosa Anton has always admired the gentle ways of her Mom, Teresita Cabatingan Zosa who she says is a shining example of kindness. Yes, she is trying her best to be the kind person that her Mom Tita is—always ready to lend a helping hand. Perseverance is another thing she learned from Mom whose ...
Zack Snyder: 5 bite-sized appetizers about 'Army of the Dead'
May 11, 2021
Zombie heist action thriller film "Army of the Dead"—directed by Zack Snyder—will be making its worldwide release on Netflix this May 21.
While most casual fans know him for his work on superhero blockbusters ("Watchmen," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"), followers of the director's career would know that "Army of the Dead" isn't exactly his first rodeo with zombies. In fact, his feature film debut was the remake of the 1978 horror film "Dawn of the Dead" back in 2004.
Seventeen years after, the world will be seeing Snyder's own interpretation of the undead through "Army of the ...
Literatus: The Ivermectin debate
May 11, 2021
Sometimes, I come to think that the debate over permitting Filipinos to use Ivermectin as treatment or prophylaxis (preventive medication) against Sars-CoV-2 may not be over safety at all but over self-interested profits from vaccine sales or whatever.
The issue of safety appears to be bloated unnecessarily. Logic can dissect these rationales easily.
First, Ivermectin is obviously safe even as used against parasitic infection and Bfad surely allowed its distribution in the Philippines. If prescribed within the recommended dose for anti-parasitic administration, then doing so in patients with Covid-19 will also be safe. These are the same human beings ...

Wenceslao: Bad propaganda
May 11, 2021
That the fallout from the President's refusal to engage former Supreme Court senior associate justice Antonio Carpio in a debate that he (President Duterte) himself initiated is still being felt only means the challenge that was hurled was bad propaganda. There was a tinge of arrogance when President Duterte made the challenge during a press con. The President noted that he was willing to debate with Carpio because he himself is also a lawyer. "Anad na kuno siyag debate." He sounded so sure of himself. The Cebuano term for that is "gara," a trait bullies possess.

In some far-flung areas in Mindanao, some legitimate landowners abandoned their vast land because during harvest season their products are harvested by armed men. When they confronted the armed men on why they harvested their products when they are the legitimate and legal owners of the land, the armed men would simply answer, "Yes, this is your land, but the products are ours," while at the same time pointing their guns at the landowners.

May 11, 2021

The Italian PV world remains cautiously skeptical about the €220 billion post-pandemic recovery plan that Rome presented last week. However, the green policies are not final and could still be shaped by related decrees and non-financial measures.
"Hydrogen seems to have too much of a role. We promote it, clear, but we see the risk it could turn out to be a way to postpone the fossil exit," Paolo Rocco Viscontini, president of ...
