Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, DOH 7 spokesperson, said as of Thursday, May 13, a total of 606,444 senior citizens in the region had already registered for the Covid-19 vaccination program.

The reopening of the Cebu City Sports Center after more than a year since it was closed made a lot of people happy, especially those who miss jogging or walking at the oval.
The current restrictions imposed by management are understandable and necessary to ensure that users comply with minimum health protocols like the wearing of masks and social distancing.
However, I feel that enforcers don't treat everybody equally. They accost some but leave others alone. It doesn't help that many of their co-employees are the main violators.

Beginning 12 midnight of May 15, the curfew period in the city will start at 9 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the next day.

CASES of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro continued to rise, as the City Health Office reported on Friday, May 14, 80 new cases, a new single-day high, bringing the total number of infections to 5,692.
Of the 80 new confirmed cases, 24 are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 14 are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 41 are local index cases, and one death, Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said.

DEPARTMENT of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire on Friday, May 14, 2021, said the number of passengers who are considered close contacts of the two B.1.617 cases has increased to 41.
DOH officials said they were tracing the fellow passengers seated within four seats on both sides, in front and behind each patient, after initially assuring that the two patients have had no close contacts.

THE ban on inbound passengers from India and four neighboring countries has been extended until May 31, 2021 and expanded to include those coming from Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said all travelers from Oman and UAE as well as those with travel history to these two countries within the last 14 days preceding arrival will not be allowed to enter the Philippines beginning 12:01 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 until 11:59 p.m.of May 31, 2021.
