According to Celis, he arrived around 11:03 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021, at the police station and discovered there was no desk officer or sentinel available.

Celis said he caught at least four cops sleeping on duty and it took at least five minutes for one of the police officers to wake up.

The surgical case, which took place a week after the first surgery, was attended by Dr. Calvin Fernandez, Dr. Jorge Edward Masa and Dr. Kris Laura Crucero-Manuel.

CLMMRH, in a statement, said the patient is a 48-year-old male surgeon who had complete heart block.

FOR 27 years, Davao Region has recorded a total of 4,513 cases of the still-incurable human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/Aids).

According to the Department of Health-Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (DOH-Resu)-Davao Region data from 1993 to December 2020, Davao City has contributed to the highest number of cases with 3,312, followed by Davao del Norte with 556, then Davao del Sur (242), Davao de Oro (200), Davao Oriental (141), and Davao Occidental (62).

The suspect, Rome Ruzon, 41, is a neighbor of the two victims, whose bodies were found in what police described as a forest on May 12.

Ruzon had tagged his minor stepson, name withheld, as his cohort. The boy was also taken into custody.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Mandaluyong City said the fire occurred "between the sixth and seventh floors" of Building C at around 3:36 a.m. Sunday. Fire out was declared out at 3:55 a.m., or around 20 minutes later.
