Nais ng 84% ng mga Pinoy na mapalakas ng gobyerno ang kampanya laban sa korapsyon.
Base ito sa lumabas na survey ng Pulse Asia noong Hunyo 19-23, 2023.
Lumabas din sa survey na 47 percent ang apektado ng naturang problema.
Sinabi ni Pulse Asia Research President Ronald Holmes, ang resulta ay nagpapakita na karamihan ay naghahangad na mapalakas ang kampanya ng mga anti-corruption institutions.
Sinabi nito walang ni isa man ang nagsabing ayaw palakasin ang kampanya ng mga ahensiya, batas at mekanismo para labanan ang korapsyon.
At sa tanong sa kung anong epekto ng korapsiyon ang nakakaapekto sa kanila ng matindi, 67% ang nagsabing nawalan na sila ng tiwala sa government services at public officials; "Normalized" attitude towards corrupt practices, 47%; Inefficient service delivery, 44%; Abuse and intimidation by members of the government, 42%; Less public funds devoted to addressing social issues, 40%; Less competitive business environment, 31%; Substandard infrastructure, 12% at Loss of money due to bribes, 10%.
"It is disturbing because if people already submit that corruption is pervasive and nothing can be done, then that will be the end of what we refer to or what we wish would be democratic…in the country," ayon kay Holmes.
"The result shows a significant majority agreeing to the need to strengthen anti-corruption institutions. You find it here 84 percent agreeing with the statement… Also we have marginally higher agreement among those in the ABC and almost the same level of agreement in classes D and E," ayon pa rin kay Holmes.
"Virtually no one disagrees with the strengthening of the agencies, laws and mechanisms to fight corruption," aniya pa rin.
