We've all seen them right? Those ads that pretend like someone is playing a puzzle game, but they are absolutely terrible at it. These are infuriating to watch both because the "player" is so incapable and also because the game being played isn't actually what's been advertised. You couldn't even try it for yourself if you wanted to. This is a problem that today's subject seeks to remedy. Get ready for: YEAH! YOU WANT "THOSE GAMES," RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET'S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM!
Boy that's a mouthful. Still, it accurately describes what you're in for. This is a collection of the fake games used in advertisements now made real. Finally you can pull at the pins to get your stickman to a pile of treasure. You can untangle the overcrowded parking lot. Or you could beat all the enemies in the tower with the power of basic math.
There are 5 such games available to play with dozens of levels each. These initially start off as easy as they seemed in the ads, but soon get way more devious. I got quite hooked on the tower game. In it your guy has a number representing their power and you can only defeat enemies with a lower number than yours. Doing so adds their number to your own. Mixed in there are various power-ups and power-downs that can multiply or divide your number. The trick being that you NEED to take everything in every tower before moving on, including those power-downs. You might have to pick up a rusty sword that divides your strength by 5 and then still have enough left to defeat the next enemies. These are some crafty dilemmas to overcome.
I will say that the difficulty curve is a tad flat. There were 50 levels in the tower game and I didn't feel exactly challenged until about stage 39. That's mostly intentional though. These aren't supposed to be amazing conundrums but fun little puzzles you can solve whenever you have some downtime. Most level take anywhere from 10-20 seconds to about a minute for some of the later ones. You also earn up to 3 stars depending on how quickly (or well) you solved any level.
YEAH! YOU WANT "THOSE GAMES," RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET'S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM! is good fun. Though at 10 bucks, you don't really get much. 5 micro-games with 25-50 levels each. You can work towards 3-starring everything or compete with others for points, I guess. There is also a gacha-style system where you can get different title and backgrounds to create a nameplate with? Not exactly rich in content and I definitely feel like there were more "fake games" they could have adapted. You may want to wait for a sale before picking it up.
