Review
Adventure games are probably one of the better game genres there are, a proper immersive story that takes you deep inside another world and there is nothing more immersive than a snowy thriller with a deep mystery to investigate. Kona II Brume follows on from the original 2017 cult release, a murder mystery based in a fictional area in Quebec. You play as Private detective Carl Faubert as you investigate the after effects of devastating avalanche along with the eerie goings on.
The game mixes a multitude of game styles walking sim, adventure investigation, puzzle solving and horror but this gaming buffet works well together to provide an immersive game that pulls you deep within semi open world snowy landscape. There are many different aspects of the game you need to keep an eye on for example the freezing temperatures can be a killer keep yourself warm or you'll begin to lose health (although you can turn this off in the easier mode)

The main heartbeat of this game is investigation and you will need to look into every nook and cranny, open every drawer and door and pick up every seemingly pointless item as at first glance something that may look normal may well be the key to unlocking the mystery. The game is vast and although not fully open world it's still big enough to get lost in especially as you explore the mansion area as I personally spent alot of time going round in circles, then as you get further into the game you get to grips with vast frozen lakes and underground caves all adding to the deeply atmospheric game that grips you from the beginning.

As you delve deeper into the game it does have a hightened level of difficulty that brings a challenge but in a strange way keeps you trying over again it just seems to be an addictive gameplay experience, it really keeps you using your brain as you see things first then later you find something that you will need to use with what you've just seen like unlocking a door with a key you find further along it all links in together really making you think.
The story has many dark twists and turns with many aspects to keep your brain engaged so you don't lose interest, as far as survival adventure games go this is probably up there with the better ones I've played.
Graphics and Sound
Having played a few games now from Ravenscourt I just knew that visually I would be blown away when it came to graphics and I wasn't disappointed, the graphics are amazing with intense detail the character models are well crafted but what makes the game stand out is the game world you play in, the detail is amazing the frozen country side looks amazing and even the battered buildings look authentic. The spooky vision sequences are well made and literally give you chills.
I loved the soundtrack of the game with a smooth country style that I could quite happily just listen to, the vibe of the music definitely runs in line with the game. The in game sound effects are good and sound authentic adding to the overall chilling nature of the game.
Summary
Time now then for me to put my thoughts together in a summary, overall the game gave me alot the mix of game styles worked well together to give a well balanced game. The setting of the game was breathtaking you could literally feel the temperature drop. Another great game from Ravenscourt. If you like a thrilling adventure game then definitely look this up.
