Weekend Wrap‑up: Milestones

Almost five years ago I published my first book. I had no clue what I was doing, so mistakes were made.

Did I think being an author was going to be easy? It does only take the right person to mention your book (Oprah) and you've got it made, for a while at least. Did I think being an author was going to be cheap? I didn't expect it to be as expensive as it is to promote a book. Bye-bye royalties.

Did I think being and author was going to be as enjoyable at is is? Honestly, I had no clue it was going to be this fun

Can't remember when it happened, but I remember it sucked because it was from a $0.99 sale. C'mon, really?

So, I want to thank all the readers who took a chance on an unknown author.

I also want to thank all the other authors who have helped in the promotion of my books and for the advice they have given me.

Leon Stevens is a multi-genre author, composer, guitarist, songwriter, and an artist, with a Bachelor of Music and Education. He published his first book of poetry, Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose, and Pictures in January 2020, followed by a book of original classical guitar compositions, Journeys, and a short story collection of science fiction/post-apocalyptic tales called The Knot at the End of the Rope and Other Short Stories.
