Senate Celebrates Jesus Is Lord Church's 46th Anniversary

The Senate of the Philippines recently commended the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JIL) on its 46th Founding Anniversary. Senator Loren Legarda delivered a co-sponsorship speech, highlighting JIL's significant contributions to nation-building and its global impact.

From its humble beginnings in 1978 with just 15 members, JIL has grown to over 5 million members worldwide, with churches established across the Philippines and in 60 other countries.

Senator Legarda acknowledged the church's active role in various sectors of society. She commended Bro. Eddie Villanueva and his family for their exemplary public service, with Senator Joel Villanueva and his siblings serving as inspiring role models.

The late Dr. Adoracion "Sis. Dory" J. Villanueva was also recognized for her crucial role in nurturing the church alongside Bro. Eddie. JIL's commitment to disaster response, faith-based communities, counseling services, and poverty alleviation programs, both locally and internationally, was highlighted.

Senator Legarda emphasized that JIL's values of compassion, integrity, and service serve as an example for all. She commended the dedication of JIL members in various fields, showcasing how faith can inspire positive change.

The Senate's recognition of JIL's 46th anniversary underscores the church's significant contributions to society and its role as a partner in nation-building.
