Overview taken from the official book press release.
Review
I've always been interested in astrology and becoming one with nature along with learning various techniques to reconnect to the seasons and this book gives you the tools to align yourself with nature's force.
I'm not a big follower of astrology as in I don't religiously check every day however I am fascinated at how it all works and always show an interest in it's workings so reading books like this peak my interest in a different way to my usual read.
The book gives you a month by month break down almost feeling like a users manual for the year ahead giving you an insight into the season ahead giving you moon phases or sea temperature and even giving you a relevant folklore tale for that particular time. The book also gives you recipes that you can also use throughout the year - I'll definitely be trying out the Greek Honey Cake with thyme and ginger (sounds divine)
This book has definitely opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about the year ahead, I'll honestly say I didn't even know of it's existence until the chance came up to review it but I'm very glad that I did have the opportunity as it will definitely be an important form of reference throughout this coming year.
Lia Leendertz is obviously passionate about this subject as it shows on every page with this being the eighth of the series she definitely is an expert of this subject and I can see why people await it's release each year.
Summary
Time now then for me to put my thoughts into a summary, overall I was impressed by the book I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I received it but the first impressions were definitely good as the artwork for the book is stunning and it is presented well, although I wouldn't really say I would've picked this up from the shelf if I just come across it I'm definitely pleased that I had the opportunity to read this as it has opened my eyes to what is out there and I can't wait to go and see it.
