Just as Evo Japan 2024 has ended Capcom finally revealed the details on Capcom Pro Tour 2024 and Capcom Cup 11. The premiere tour for Street Fighter 6 will return with double the Offline Premier events of the previous year while finally bringing Capcom Cup home.
One of the biggest disappointments of Capcom Pro Tour 2023 was the limited number of Offline Premier events. For 2024, the number of Offline Premier events has doubled. The first of these will be none other than Evo 2024 in Last Vegas in July, with at least one event each succeeding month until Kings of the World in December.
- July – Evo 2024
- August – Cream City Convergence
- September – Ultimate Fighting Arena
- October – East Coast Throwdown
- October – Singapore Premier
- November – Blink Respawn
- November – Japan Premier
- December – Kings of the World
Of course, Capcom Pro Tour 2024 will still also feature several online events as well. That said, Capcom has yet to reveal the schedule for these.
The entire tour will culminate with Capcom Cup 11, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan. This is the first time that Capcom Cup will take place in Capcom and Street Fighter's home country. The event itself will take place at the Ryoukogu Kokugikan – the legendary indoor sporting arena most associated with sumo. In addition, Kokugikan was also the venue for the very first official Street Fighter II tournament back in 1992.
As previously reported, Capcom Cup 11 will have the same $1 million prize for the winner as Capcom Cup X in February. In addition, Capcom Cup 11 will also play host to the SFL World Championship, which crowns the champion of Capcom's team-based closed-format Street Fighter League that's separate from the singles-based open-entry CPT.
